The book does not ship for another two weeks, but that fact hasn't stopped shoppers from sending a new book about UFOs and biblical nephilim into the top sales ranking at popular online bookseller Amazon.com. It provides an interesting insight into how Americans are resorting to fiction... in anticipation of the Rapture.
Last week, "Nephilim Imperatives: Dark Sentences", published by Anomalos and written by well-known prophecy expert Terry James, occupied the #2 spot in Christian Fiction and an equally impressive #145 of all books sold by the online retailer. Since, it has dropped to a still impressive place in the top 3000. Recent high-profile discussions about UFOs and the call by former pilots and officials for full government disclosure concerning what is known - if anything - about these strange aerial sightings have once again people of all walks of life interested in speculating about the nature and intention of extra-terrestrial entities. The latest episode of fame that befell the UFO phenomenon was during the 1990s, riding on the success of The X Files. Since, the phenomenon has been transformed. Now, Bible scholars have become intrigued by the weight of historical evidence suggesting unearthly contact by interdimensional beings. Theological discussion on this topic has grown recently due to the increase in sightings of unexplained phenomena. Some believe this may even be a sign that the earth is teetering toward an epic event, which within a Christian context is easily translated as the Apocalypse... and/or the Second Coming. A well-publicized UFO event occurred in 2006 when a metallic, disc-shaped craft was witnessed hovering over Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The sighting was important because the witnesses included American Airlines ground personnel, passengers, pilots, and the airport's air traffic controllers. Prophecy expert Terry James believes this is no coincidence. More and more well-documented UFO sightings may be evidence that the US government will soon be forced to stop dragging its feet on "Official Disclosure". Powers beyond man's control may cause the US administration and other global authorities to admit that they have been in contact with so-called extraterrestrial intelligence for some time. According to a scenario put forth by James, 'something' in government-funded underground laboratories may be amassing even now, preparing an imminent invasion or re-emergence of ancient beings on earth. In his new book, "Nephilim Imperatives", James explores the connection between UFOs, spiritual warfare and end-times prophecy, blowing the lid open on a frightening reality that we can only hope is fiction. Still, despite fiction, some think it might be closer to fact. Dr. Noah Hutchings, president of Southwest Radio Ministries, says, "James has fashioned a fascinating book that could be more truth than fiction.... Nuclear terrorism is not the only threat of the last days; a replay of the spiritual invasion of the nephilim is another horror that must be confronted." Dr. Randall Price, president of World of the Bible Ministries Inc., agrees that Nephilim Imperatives may be more fact than fiction. "Terry's... capable linkage of archaeological, prophetic, and scientific data with credible characters makes this a convincing read, so much so that I can't help feeling that I am a part of this drama!" And hoping that truth will one day resemble fiction is precisely what most of the audience will hope to read over Christmas time. |
